manifestation

Dream It, Feet It, Expect It

In honor of Dr. Wayne W. Dyer's 76th Birthday today (Happy Birthday, Wayne!), I felt compelled to share his wisdom on manifestation. Dr. Dyer is one of the great Ascended Masters who lives long beyond his Earth years, as his Infinite Love, wisdom and teaching will continue to touch our world for centuries to come. Dr. Dyer is the first truly Spiritual being and teacher that I discovered along my path; my dear cousin gifted me two of his books, Your Sacred Self and There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem. I now own almost every one of his books. I vehemently suggest his work; he is a Master of the Spirit, and his teaching will change your life (it absolutely changed mine).

His equally-brilliant podcasts are re-aired on Hay House Radio; I stumbled upon a topic I have grown to understand and implement: the Law of Attraction and manifestation. The philosophy behind this principle can (and will) change your life. Dr. Dyer breaks it down so that this Universal law is easily understood and implemented.

You have a dream. We all have a dream. And while our dreams take tenacity, faith and hard work to manifest, there is another way to put your dreams on the fast-track to manifestation:

Dream it. Feel it. Expect it.

-Wayne W. Dyer

This three-step process is how Wayne breaks down the enactment of the Law of Attraction. As the law states, like attracts like (everything, including ourselves, is made of energy); our thoughts, focus and intentions influence our every experience in life.

Where focus goes, energy flows.

-Wayne W. Dyer

Dream It

If we believe our dreams are some far-off reality that is not attainable, we must change our beliefs, thoughts, attitude and focus around the subject of our wildest dreams. Remember, energy flows where intention goes. The first step to super-charging our dream is to believe in the power of our ability to manifest it through empowered thoughts. So goes the saying, "if you believe it, you can achieve it."

Feel It

Once we have applied positive thoughts, beliefs and intentions around our dreams, we must act (aka "feel") as if the dream we wish to fulfill is already here. This is the absolute KEY to manifestation.

The beauty of our mind is we cannot differentiate between imagination and reality. If we think with every ounce of our being how it would feel to be living that dream—being with the love of our life, working our dream job, attaining well-being and health, discovering the next big solution to the energy crisis or whatever our heart desires—and then embody the mindset that we are currently fulfilling our wishes, our mind, body and spirit will pick up on these cues (with the Universe following).

Our energy levels will rise just by thinking and feeling in this manner, and soon, we begin to attract every situation, possibility, person and tool we need to manifest our dreams. All the Universe knows is the output of energy we signal to it. Which in turn, sends us on the direct path to fulfilling our dream, because the Universe already thinks we have achieved it.

Consistency is Key

Dr. Dyer presses the importance of continually re-establishing the feeling of achieving our dreams; we do this by staying in the "I Am" state and by expressing gratitude for fulfilling our dreams daily. We can thank our Higher Power and the Universe for sending us all we need to unfold our dreams.

I use the power of mantras to stay in the "I Am" state of being:

  • I am powerful beyond measure.
  • I am a (insert term here).
  • I am Universally connected.
  • My dreams matter.
  • I matter.
  • I am successful.
  • I am enough in this moment.
  • I am fulfilling my destiny.

By affirming we are already fulfilling our dreams and then grounding ourselves in the present moment with gratitude, we begin to attract magic into our lives.

Negating Negativity

It is easy to get caught up in what is not in our life or how far we must go before achieving our dreams or goals; this thinking is what keeps us from believing in our own power and soul's purpose. Gratitude keeps our attention focused on what is rather than what is not; this allows our thoughts and energy to stay positive.

By being grateful for all we are/do/achieve in this very moment, we bring more of what we desire into our lives (including opening doors which lead us closer to fulfilling that dream).

Expect It

Lastly, and certainly most importantly, we must, MUST, expect our dream to manifest into fruition. The power of our thoughts, both subconscious and conscious, will directly impact our ability to fulfill our dream.

This goes hand in hand with our beliefs. Continue to check in with your beliefs, especially when that pesky Ego starts to speak self-defeating thoughts in your mind. Counter this by sitting with your thoughts, and acknowledge your doubts or fears.

When we acknowledge our fears, we can take their power away by choosing to think with a mindset of love and empowerment. Turn that negative thought into a loving one (thereby raising the negative energy of our thoughts).

We are the ones who control the valve to our dreams; we enable our dreams by believing in ourselves, holding positive thoughts, feeling as if our dreams are already here, and then affirming this daily with mantras and gratitude.

Faith Through Action

Dr. Dyer's steps to manifesting our dreams are pivotal in achieving our dreams, but physical actions are required in seeing our dreams through. The magic of manifestation surely opens you to the flow of abundance, bringing you everything you need to fulfill your dreams. But unless we pass through those open doors, we cut ourselves off from the fruits of our manifestation.

This is a form of resistance (usually caused by fear), and it sends a direct signal to the Universe that shuts off the valve we worked diligently toward manifesting. We are called to act through faith; if we expect our dreams to come true, then we must believe each step we take is getting us that much closer to fulfilling them. Faith is taking the step without knowing where our leaps land, but believing wholeheartedly that we must take the step.

Faith is a tool I often use to stay grounded in the present (along with gratitude and affirmations). We are bound to become overwhelmed in the process of manifesting our dreams, which is why it is imperative to attain mindfulness along our path. Every faith-filled step gets us closer to the result we intend to achieve, so harness the confidence in knowing we can achieve anything we set our mind and heart to, one step at a time.

Dear One, you are powerful beyond measure. The dream you hold is placed on your heart for a purpose, and you are strong enough to manifest it into reality.

Monday Mantra—You Are Powerful

As I've been writing about honoring our heart's desires and dreams, it is no coincidence that I pulled a card with this message on it today.
Know that you are powerful beyond measure. Your thoughts, feelings and actions create your reality. Choose to attract everything you can imagine by embodying a mindset of positivity and exuberant love.
By being love and sending out that love into the universe, you will surely attract that love back to you in all the forms of abundance you seek.
Hold the intention this week to acknowledge your less-than-loving thoughts and then diffuse them with thoughts of love. A positive thought quickly distinguishes a fear-based thought by raising the frequency it holds.
Determine the practices that keep you grounded in love, be it yoga, long walks, soul friendship, or meditation. Whatever it may be, hold the intention of love and it will be done.
As always, my favorite means of grounding in love and positivity is an attitude of gratitude. Calm any anxiety, worries or self-doubts by setting your awareness in the present moment.
YOU are powerful, dear one. Repeat this mantra until your heart begins to speak louder than your mind.
I am more powerful than I realize.
Sending you all my Light and Love on this beautiful Monday.

Trust in Our Dreams

Have you ever sat in stillness to contemplate your dreams?

I have been on a wild journey of discovery that planted me right at the doorstep of my own dream: to serve others with the full expression of my true self—an intuitive healer and empowerment coach.

On a cool October evening, as I experienced the super moon eclipse from my outdoor yoga class, the instructor gave me a piece of advice: if a dream is placed on our heart, we are powerful enough to manifest it.

This nugget of wisdom empowered me to not only believe in the validity of my dreams but to turn them into my reality. The simple belief that I can live the life I imagine gave my soul permission to seek my spiritual truth—the divine essence I embody.

Within several months, when the magic of the Christmas season was stirring my heart, I came to realize that I had finally returned to my Divine essence. My true nature as a Divine spiritual being of love was revealed. It was as simple (and yet complex) as that. I am to realize that by trying to please everyone in my life and gain love and acceptance outside of myself, I had compromised everything I was truly about; I am a deeply spiritual person with a faith that runs through every vein leading straight to my heart.

A Return to Love

Returning to a state of love took devastating loss in order to break open my heart to reveal the fullness I longed to express. It took feeling every dark emotion that lingered in my broken and hopeless heart. It took saying yes to a difficult and gut-wrenching journey to learn why I made the decisions that took me down a path that far from honored my true self. I spent so much time attempting to gain love and acceptance that I barely knew who I was and what I stood for any longer. Yet, my soul never forgot—I heard its whispers, but I chose to quiet them in favor of comfort and safety.

My despair and desperation led me to embark on a spiritual journey of self discovery. I believe challenges and missteps are our greatest teaches and catalysts of growth. Had I not chosen to visit and ultimately heal the broken nature of my heart and spirit, I am certain I would not be writing this piece from my heart.

I know the agony, pain, endless work and investment of a spiritual journey, but I also know the intense suffering caused by choosing fear over the path of love. It is my deepest belief that we are here to end our human suffering by returning to a state of love (and then living wholeheartedly in our revealed truth).

Our purpose is to express and extend our divinity (the light within us) through the highest expression of ourselves.

– Rebecca Rosen

Throughout my studies of Yoga, Buddhism and Kaballah (Jewish Mysticism), I have gleaned one universal truth: we are here to end human suffering by reclaiming our light—the light of our soul—that took human form in our body. If we can find the light within us that has lied dormant since childhood, we can return to our Divine essence. It is from this place that we find our purpose, from our heart space, and ultimately find Heaven on Earth.

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

– Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

If this end to suffering seems wildly out of reach, it is. However, I am proof that it is completely possible if you put in the work. What I found by returning to my true soul's nature is limitlessness, true happiness and lasting peace.

It wasn't until I accepted my soul whispering for more fulfillment in life and awakened to my essence that I discovered my own purpose. My long-lived desire to have a more meaningful career was born out of my separation from my purpose. I yearned to serve humanity in a more direct and impactful way, yet until I accepted a path of spiritual growth to reveal my own light, I could not serve others in the manner I desired.

My purpose grew out of my revealed light effortlessly, as the Universe conspired to lead me on a path of synchronicity and Divine intervention. When we begin to discover our essence and agree to reveal our true selves to the world, we will be catapulted on a wild journey of full support for our intention to honor our soul (which in turn creates more harmony in the Universe).

Behind Every Fight is Light

Every experience, misstep, tragedy, situation or loss serves a larger purpose of growth if we accept the blessing behind each struggle. If we accept an attitude of gratitude for what occurs and search for the gifts behind these "redirections," we turn adversity into our biggest blessing and teacher.

As I agreed to a life of fulfillment and chose a path of love, my gratitude turned my past into the foundation for my purpose. I endured intense suffering (human experience) in health and heartbreak in order to blossom into my essence—as an intuitive healer and spiritual coach. My health battles were necessary "education" to step into my understanding of healing on a mind, body and heart level. My heartbreak was the gateway to awakening my deeply spiritual nature—one that has led me to a transcendent connection with Spirit in the form of Angels (both guardian and Archangels).

The clarity in my heart now recognizes that my human suffering became the classroom that allowed me to graduate to my soul nature, one that can see the beauty of life when our light is ignited and we reclaim our wings. As I trusted my ability to fly and began to own who I truly am, my resilience and faith paid dividends in miracles. Each courageous step led to where I needed to be to fulfill my dreams.

Answer the Call

By answering our soul's calling, we plant a seed in our heart that says we are worth living our best life. Our dreams may seem unreachable or even far-fetched in our limited mind, but once we allow the truth in our heart to be known, we surpass any self-perceived road blocks placed by fear.

The first step to manifesting our dreams is to believe we are powerful enough to manifest them. We must believe in ourselves EVERY step of the way.

The joy in my heart as I begin to fulfill my purpose is unfathomable—I still find myself laughing while I question, "Is this real life?" But even as I step further into developing my gifts and return to school, I suffer from bouts of self-defeating thoughts. My mind recalls all too clearly my undergraduate experience (one that was plagued by poor health and crippling anxiety). As I sat with my fears and acknowledged them, I began to believe that I am equipped with a newfound sense of wellbeing in mind, body and spirit. And I am strong enough to see my dreams through; after all, I know for certain I wouldn't be called into this purpose without the strength to endure any challenges it presents.

During my morning meditation with intuitive counselor, Kari Samuels, I received the reassurance my soul craved; my measure of success has nothing to do with performance in school, gaining more certifications and launching my business. I measure success by the amount of joy and passion pulsing through my heart. This happens when I am expressing my true essence—as a writer, poet, healer and coach. This is how I know I am fulfilling my purpose. I have the Divine privilege to use my God-given gifts to serve others through my true expression of self.

Be True to You

We do not need to be living the full expression of our dreams to embody a feeling of success or to feel joyful and fulfilled.

Don’t look for your dreams to become true; look to become true to your dreams.

– Michael Bernard Beckwith

We do, however, need to express our full Divinity as light-filled souls to manifest the unfolding of our dreams by taking faithful action daily. If we live and love with the passion that pulsates through our being, we give ourselves permission to be our truest selves.

How we live, love and treat others creates the tapestry of our soul nature. I find that in order to fully express our nature, we may need to step into a life that honors our very essence.

So, contemplate your dreams. Set forth intentions that will ultimately determine your future. Choose to reach for the moon and listen to your heart; admit the dreams lingering within its walls.

The Universe is waiting to answer our call so long as we believe in our power to manifest them.

Send in your "order form" by writing your truest intentions and dreams on paper (or repeating them in your mind). Whether we seek our true essence, a fulfilling path or higher love, make sure to honor these intentions today (and every day).

And repeat:

I am powerful beyond measure. I trust the Universe. I trust in Spirit. I trust myself. I trust my purpose. I am supported. I am light.

I invite you on a journey to align with your soul's purpose and answer the call to live through your heart.

Seeds of Intention

My chosen word of the year is sprout. I have the intention to grow and evolve using the foundation I set the past year. With only a few months into 2016, I have noticed the incredible impact my word has already made. I began a new practice every night, at the suggestion of my wise friend, Sharri, to review the positive intentions that I set forth throughout the day. And to carry out my word of 2015, gratitude, I begin each day with all that I am grateful for. This sets the most wonderful tone that keeps me in a place of love all day. I find just how much my intentions change when I am steeped in gratitude.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

- Melody Beattie

While I am about to drift off to sleep, with my phone set aside, I list the intentions I carried out in love that day. Rather than focusing on my usual fear and anxiety-ridden worries or what I didn't get done, I shift my mind to what I did do that day—accomplishments, acts of kindness, loving gestures, goals met—and revel in the feeling of satisfaction of the beautiful intentions I set out into the world.

I think of this practice as the intention-counting version of the old adage of counting sheep. It fills my soul with feelings of being good enough, loving enough and being just plain enough. This sends gratitude out into the Universe for the loving intentions I was able to reach.

Intentions are an order form to the universe.

- Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

The way this practice has changed my life already is unfathomable; I used to stay awake burdened by feelings of inadequacy and every negative thought possible swirling around in my already-full mind. I now fall asleep knowing that I did the best I could today, and really that's all we ever can do: our best.

Yes, you probably didn't make that phone call to your grandmother, pick up the dry cleaning, spend enough time with your kids (or fur baby) or be nice enough to your nagging co-worker, but does any of that truly matter in the moments before you rest? All that matters is that you showed up today and you did your best. When you look to the positive, you choose to not only keep your outlook positive, but your body will also respond to that positivity too.

If you're like me and love to set high standards and constantly work toward higher awareness and self-improvement, these little reviews at the end of your day are a good indicator of whether you're in a heart space or living in fear. Because we all live busy and fast-paced lives, sometimes it is difficult to really set your intentions on a better path day to day. So, my trick is to set intentions and goals at the beginning of the lunar cycle (or the first of the month if that works for you).

When the New Moon is upon us, there is a heightened energy gateway for new beginnings; this is the perfect time to think back to how you felt in the passing weeks and how you may want to shift your attitude, behaviors or mindset. Write down your new intentions or simply sit under the dark sky and think them over. By the time the Full Moon has arrived, your intentions will come with it. Full Moons bring the manifestations we set forward into the Universe. Using this practice, I have seen miracles play out in my life around the time the Full Moon shines its majestic beauty down on Earth.

In order to grow, the seeds of love must be firmly planted in YOUR heart.

So as the darkness fills your bedroom tonight, under the New Moon, or under any moon, what did you do today that you feel proud of? Smile at a stranger? Hug your children extra long? Reach your new fitness or health goal? Eat a salad when you really wanted fries? Sit and relax to still your busy mind? Nearly anything you attempted today can fit into this list. If it brings a smile of satisfaction to your heart, then by all means remember how that made you feel. And sleep tight knowing you are always enough.
