God isn't in the business of giving us exactly what we want when we want it (especially if that desire is self-seeking or materialistic). God is in the business of giving us what we need by transforming our hearts, minds, character and actions so they align us His will and desires for us—desires to love and serve each other with kindness, compassion and warmth. And the person we must start with is the one looking at us in the mirror.

God seeks to work through us so that our minds may know truth, our eyes may see compassionately, our hearts may fill with love, our thoughts may operate from a higher consciousness, our character may reflect humility and honesty and our actions may align with wisdom. When we surrender to this Divine transformation, and come home to the true perfection within, we'll find that we have everything we need for a joyful, peaceful and fulfilling life.

Life is not guaranteed to be comfortable or convenient; God wills us to find peace in the discomfort by developing a mindset that understands all is well right now (even when a storm strikes). Through God (and the heart He transforms), we have everything within us for a breathtaking view of everything outside of us. Each relationship, situation and even storm, no matter how grim in appearance, becomes a blessing. We find that all along we were the ones who needed altering rather than the people and situations around us.

When we choose to see with peaceful eyes, love with unconditional hearts, accept with open hearts, hear with tolerant ears and think with reformed minds, life begins to seem dreamier than we ever thought possible. It will start to look much more like the life we envisioned because we are now a vision of our true nature of love within.

That is when the true work begins. By living as an example of love, peace and kindness, we help uplift, transform and reform this mess of a world one loving thought and action at a time.
