Pondering a Magnificent God

What if the clouds
That engulf the blue,
What if the sunset
That paints the sky
Is God's way to say hi?
What if the yucca
That reach so high,
What if the rose bud
That reveals a full bloom
Is God's way to show awe?
What if thunderstorms
That roar and rumble,
What if the lightning
That shocks the sky
Is God's way to show might?
What if God pours down his anger
with Tsunamis and hurricanes?
What if the rainstorm
That falls on your face
Is cleansing you of woes?
What if the butterfly
That flutters about
Is God's way of saying hi.
What if these things
Of the natural earth,
What if these wonders
That scatter and dance
Are reminders and notes
That God is always there.
He is there in the flutter.
He is there in the leaves.
He is there in the wind,
Clouds and trees.
So, you see, next time
You feel the drop of rain
Or see spring’s first bloom,
Soak up the blessings
In their Infinite beauty.
And then, bow in gratitude
To your benevolent Creator.
