Reflect and Re-Evaluate

Reflect

May is a super charged month energetically and astrologically; with Mercury and many other planets in Retrograde, it is the perfect time to slow down, ground ourselves and self reflect. Gratitude is a way to ground our being in the present moment. Make a point this month to reflect on where you are now, how far you’ve come and your current self worth. When reflecting on the past, try not to dwell on any regret, mistakes or missed opportunities; simply feel love and gratitude for where these missteps brought you. Chances are you wouldn’t be where you are, who you are or what you are without the “blessings” of the past.

My Epoch

I was served a very important lesson this week after I was struck by a very nasty and painful bug that rendered me weak and vulnerable.

As I fought many self-defeating thoughts that trickled in as the pain set in deeper, I remained calm and centered with self-guided meditation and detoxifying salt baths. I couldn’t help but think this day of misery served an underlying purpose.

This week marks my departure from my full time job and the beginning of my journey as an intuitive healer and coach. I am certain the anxiety of such a drastic change in my path is part of the culprit for my body’s painful process.

Secrets of Manifestation

I returned to one of my favorite yoga classes this week: crystal healing yin with Natanya Washburn of Lapis and Lavender. I hadn’t attended her class for some time, and I knew I was in for a delicious treat.

With the Super New Moon today, it is a perfect setting for manifesting intentions and charting new beginnings. Natanya shared a philosophy that deeply resonated in my heart. I am here to pass along her wisdom nugget along with my experience of manifesting my wildest dreams.

Finding Gratitude Under the Super Moon Eclipse

Do you remember what was happening last September? Do you remember the last lunar eclipse? I know I do.

The powerful energy of today’s Full Moon eclipse settled into my bones this week causing me unease and discomfort. But as I grounded through my root chakra at yin yoga, I remembered how necessary grounding and gratitude is in our life.

The landscape back in September set me on a journey that delivered me to where I am now: on the brink of major change in my life. I couldn’t have known then what would unveil over the last six months, but the view I see now is extraordinarily beautiful yet unsettling at the same time. I am changing careers to follow my calling as a healer and spiritual coach.

The Winds Beneath My Heart

I’ve resisted against the winds of my heart for a long time. Now I’m too tired to push back. I’m ready to run with them.

Maybe you won’t understand why I’m fighting so hard. It may seem like I’ve pitted myself against a life most would be content to have. But I don’t want to be content.

I’m fighting for the utmost joy and a heart beaming with light. As painful as some of these day are, I love where I’m going.

Where There is Faith, Trust Must Follow

I speak of faith often but faith and trust are synonymous; you can’t have faith without trust. I am at the point where my faith has led me to unforeseen and spectacular heights that now require extreme amounts of trust to act on.

The wonderful thing is once you start practicing faith daily, your capacity to believe in greatness and miracles exponentially increases. When it comes time to say yes to the life you aspire to live, it becomes so much easier to trust in yourself, in your dreams, and in a higher power with faith in your pocket.

Stand in Your Light

This is who I am inside
This is who I am, I’m not going to hide
Cause the greatest risk we’ll ever take is by far
To stand in the light and be seen as we are
So stand in the light and be seen as we are

With courage and kindness hold onto your faith
You get what you give and its never too late
To reach for the branch and
climb up leaving sadness behind
Fight hard for love
We can never give enough

Seeds of Intention

My chosen word of the year is sprout. I have the intention to grow and evolve using the foundation I set the past year. With only a few months into 2016, I have noticed the incredible impact my word has already made.

I began a new practice every night, at the suggestion of my wise friend, Sharri, to review the positive intentions that I set forth throughout the day. And to carry out my word of 2015, gratitude, I begin each day with all that I am grateful for. This sets the most wonderful tone that keeps me in a place of love all day. I find just how much my intentions change when I am steeped in gratitude.

The Awakening

At the tail end of one of the most tumultuous times I have experienced in my journey of spiritual awakening, on the cusp of change in every major area of my life: relationships, career, and home, I ventured on a walk with my dog (as I do every Saturday). This Saturday was like any other except it felt completely different. My life is rumbling with so much movement that I have felt like I stepped onto a rollercoaster ride that simply would not stop.

Although I have surrendered to the change and granted it permission to work through me to create the life I dream of, I have yet to learn how to keep my cool when shit hits the fan. And trust me, it’s blowing all around me, sending me in fifteen directions at once.

The Crossroads

So, you know that crossroads I speak of often? The one at the intersection of love and fear?

I am once again at a major crossroads. MAJ. And as much as I talk love and am love, I still grapple with fear. We all do. And so my challenge lately is to live what I teach, and that is what I’m here to show you.
